Bobby & Stacy : the art of remembering it well

It was like a best-of-Columbia tour. If ever you've called this town home, or even stopped off on your way thru, bet you can name this most-favorite-joint:

We started at Rock Bridge State Park on a most perfect afternoon,

...Swung by the columns:

...enjoyed a glass of wine at one of Columbia's most delicious restuarants [Cherry Street Wine Cellar & Bistro ~ the site of Bobby & Stacy's first date AND the very place they were engaged]

...and ended up mmmmmmm..... ordering the best burgers in town.

What an afternoon!

I especially loved hearing their first-person she-said/he-said account of their relationship. Stacy and Bobby are oh so cute together!!! The way they relayed the story of how they met brought to mind a line or two from a song that I hadn't thought about for years & years.

What would we do without Google??? Type in a random phrase that's somewhat close to the lyrical line in your head and voilĂ : mystery solved.

(I could have sworn though that I first heard this one on a Brady Brunch episode but couldn't find any Google Evidence to verify ~ so my guess is that I'm mistaken.)

There can be no mistake however about the chemistry Bobby Campbell & Stacy Hirt have together ~ but don't just take my word for it: the proof is in the pictures. CLICK HERE FOR A FEW FAVORITES and jot a comment if this song brings back a memory of yours. Google helped identify it but I'm still stumped of where I heard it first. But what about YOU?

Enjoy! ~ amy enderle
. . . . and speaking of enjoyment; does life get any better than this?!:

PS
In looking for restaurant links to Booches & Cherry Street Wine Cellar, I just stumbled upon this witty & winsome piece in St. Louis RiverFront Times.
Be proud, Columbia, as Ian Froeb's tagline succinctly states: "Columbia's a college town. It's also a eatin' town. Big-time."
