a jolly good time with gina + chris

Photobucket
it's 1 thing (a very good thing) to spend the golden hours of a spring day with a cuter-than-cute crazy-for-each-other couple....
and an EVEN BETTER THING when you get to make pictures not just with this amazing couple but also one of your most favorite photographers anywhere

gina + chris have contracted both SilverBox photographers (whoo-hoo!) to join them and their families on their journey this summer to Maine to say their "i-dos" and we couldn't be more excited about the opportunity.
[it's a teeny-tiny island (that you get to via ferry!!) and i swear kim + i talk about it nearly every day....]

have you ever sat in on a jam session?
or just been in a bar toward the end of a night when the 2-man band is finishing up and low-and-behold in walks OTHER musicians. . . and the collaboration just unfolds?! it's the most amazing thing.
(and OH it makes me miss live music...something paul and i took advantage of all the time before kids yet so few times in the past ahem, 14 years since kids.)

anyway, jam sessions are the best comparison i can think of for when kim and i have the chance to shoot together ~ there's this fabulous, happy ricocheting of ideas + angles .... this magical merging thing happens and just look at a few of images we ended up with (and THEN click HERE to see even more):

you know you're smitten with a couple if you "just love" how they cross the street....

a great angle for Memorial Union and oh, LOVE that sky!:

I especially loved the part when kim said, "hey, do you happen to drive a yellow jeep?"

[the answer btw was no ~ but when inspiration strikes, why bother with such pesky little details ;) ]
